Competitive Edge Management Pty Ltd is a sports management company that has been established to work alongside Rugby League players from an early stage of their playing career through to NRL & life after Rugby League. We offer free services to our clients until they reach a predetermined benchmark in their Rugby League related annual income. Competitive Edge Management Pty Ltd offer a professional, dedicated, holistic solution to player management.

We have a combined relevant experience of over 50 years in various industries including developing strategies for business growth, contract negotiations, financial management, and sales. These traits combined with an extensive Rugby League knowledge built from playing experiences, and spectating Rugby League for years has enabled us to tailor our business to the needs of our players.

Our aim is to select players who we see have the potential to make a career out of their Rugby League talent, and actively work with those players from an early stage to promote them to the Rugby League community. By increasing their exposure and making a name for them whilst they are still developing, we are able to give our clients the edge they need to maximize their opportunities in the Rugby League community.

Internally we offer multiple services such as contract negotiations, PR driven public profiles, and player representation/promotion. We have developed an extensive list of external contacts for various relevant aspects of our clients lives such as Accounting, Legal Advice, Insurance & Loan Brokers, Financial Advising, Nutritional Advice, Personal Training & Vitamin Supplement discounts, Counselling.

We have already developed a vast range of contacts throughout the rugby league community and we look forward to being able to leverage these to help our clients succeed.

Competitive Edge Management Pty Ltd currently has three accredited NRL Player Agents – Matt, Trevor & Geoff. Being a family run business, we are not competing internally for your business. As such, you will have three agents actively working for you within our company.

Matt is a hard working professional with highly developed communication skills and demonstrated leadership qualities. He has the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients and external stakeholders. Matt achieves required results through advanced organizational time management and strategic thinking skills. He is confident with managing difficult project initiatives, and enjoys being innovative in a range of work situations, which he implements to improve processes and operations in various aspects of his business life.

Matt has over 15 years of experience in management roles in several industries, which has led to strong strategic business, accounting and contracts knowledge. Most recently Matt’s roles have given him exposure to sales, estimating, managing people, project management, financial management and strategic business management.

Matt has attained several relevant qualifications such as a Graduate Certificate in Management, a Bachelor of Business (Management/Law), Cert IV in Training & Assessment, Diploma in Building & Construction (Building), & Cert IV in Building & Construction (Building)

Matt has been an avid NRL fanatic since he was a young child and sees this business as an opportunity to give back to the game that has given him so much enjoyment over the years.

Trevor   Webb 

Trevor has 25 years experience working in a medium sized family business helping to grow the business by penetrating the Illawarra market. Trevor has managed the workflow in the Illawarra region with several direct reports. During this time he has developed staff including apprentices and has a strong rapport with his employees, colleagues and managers.

Being a trade qualified plumber and gasfitter, Trevor is able to relate to the constraints and commitment that is involved in completing an apprenticeship.

Trevor played Rugby League for 20 years straight with the Windsor Wolves and has been a passionate spectator for over 30 years. Trevor was also a Trainer for the Windsor Wolves working under Gary Pethebridge, a former 1st grade Parramatta and Penrith player. During this time Trevor has developed a keen eye for recognising talent and potential in current and upcoming players.

Trevor looks forward to using his knowledge and skills to work with youths in league. He loves the satisfaction of helping others to achieve their goals.
